Silicon brick's application for glass furnace
Glass furnaces belong to high-temperature equipment.Refractory lining materials in it are subjected to corosion by gas,liquid and high temperature corrosion in the crown may lead to holes and collapse of the glass furnace.
The caused of corrosion in the crown include normal cracks,flame impact,batch and dust erosion in the melting zone and up drilling erosion caused by high pressure in teh near the feeding port.
Currently,silica brck is the most common refractory material used in the crown , It has a high softening temperature under load (1650℃).The reaction product after corroded will not change the copposition of the glass liquid since it is compatible with molten glass.
The crown if the feeder port is a weak point and easily damaged,since it is subjected to the corrosion of the flame and erosion by the batch materials.Fused cast AZS isused here.
In order to expand the service life of glass furnaces and improve heat exchange,silica bricks in honeycomb shape can be used in the crown and be built into honeycomb shape.It can increase the heat transfer between the heating face of the crown and melting tank, reduce the temperature of the non-heating face ,elimunate liquid drops , and reduce the corrosion of the crown foot and breast wall by the high temperature crown roof.Since there is stagnant gas in the honeycomb structure,it helps to reduce and avoid the erosion of crown roof by flame.
